15 Pound Twin Head Blow Mold Machine

Specializing in plastic extrusion blow molding, Penguin has the ability to blow mold parts from 1 pound to 80 pounds.  Our new, state of the art facility incorporates the latest technologies in blow molding machines, resin handling systems, and material blenders.  Penguin is able to produce parts of varying size and complexity efficiently and economically. 

We believe in maximizing efficiency.  As such, the majority of our machines are twin head machines - two extrusion heads utilizing one extruder and one platen. This enables us to double the output of the machine, thus reducing overall part cost.

Many of our machines are new – purchased new in 2003 from Milacron. These machines have the latest computer-controlled programmers, which uniquely allow us to more accurately control the parison (extrusion) and thereby control part dimension accuracy and wall thickness.  The controllers also have multiple actuators that can be used to control cams, multiple air needles, and hole punches.  This allows for more innovative design features such as undercuts in the finished part.

The Milacron machines are also designed for rapid color change.  This reduces the costly change over time associated with color changes.  In fact, in the most extreme cases, color changes take no more than 1 hour. 

Delivering a part to customers on time and to specification is our primary goal.  Strict attention to quality at each level of production is observed.  Each part is first documented to engineering drawings and specifications.  During production, part weight, size, dimension, wall thickness, color and general appearance are quality checked and documented.
